Charter begins at 10:00 a.m. however can be adjusted to your schedule. We do not stop for shelling on this tour because there is so much to do and see on the island of Useppa. The trip to Useppa is about an hour and a half, leaving you two hours to dine and take in the sights of this amazing island. As always, dolphin sightings along the way are guaranteed. We usually also see manatees (about 80% of the time), but cannot guarantee to see them.

The private island of Useppa features:

Pink Promenade
Through grand archways of massive banyan trees, and amid a profusion of exotic flowers and lush tropical vegetation, the famous Pink Promenade lays along the central ridge of Useppa Island. Originally constructed of shell and pink sand in 1903, the magical path continues to allure island visitors to discover the wonders of Useppa at their own pace. An afternoon stroll along the Pink Promenade during early summer will provide a natural spectacle, with thousands of rare “night blooming cereus” unfolding like stars in the trees.

Collier Inn
The Collier Inn
carries the same traditions as this prestigious island with age old recipes from generations past. Featuring the finest libations and a wide variety of local seafood from the bountiful waters lapping our shores. Their skilled staff takes special care to bring you the quality and flavors that exemplify our abundant surroundings.

Useppa Museum
The Barbara Sumwalt Museum building was originally built as a Useppa cottage. Through the vision of Barbara Sumwalt and from the generous donations made by Useppa Island Club and the Useppa Island Historical Society's members, the building was moved, reconstructed and opened to the public in 1994. The Museum is supported by the entry donation of $5 per person (children under18 are admitted free) and the donations from its members. The hours are generally between 12:15 to 2:00 daily, with extended hours during the winter months. Visitors to the museum are provided with an audio tour as they explore the history of Useppa, which began over 10,000 years ago and continues to present day life on this small but very significant island.
